Entry Requirements
A minimum of 100 UCAS points from at least 1 A Level in a Science, Mathematics or Technology subject
or an equivalent or Advanced GNVQ pass,
or Edexcel National Award
or Advanced Modern Apprenticeship.
or an Access to HE Diploma full award (Pass of 60 credits - of which a minimum of 45 credits must be at level 3 including 18 at Merit or Distinction) will be accepted.
GCSE English, Maths and a technology or science based subject at grade C or above or equivalent.
Maturity and experience taken into account and applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Mathematics and written English.
Direct entry into the second year may be considered for applicants possessing an appropriate HNC, HND or an equivalent qualification.
Note: Employment is required in order to undertake the work-based learning modules of the programme.
Curriculum
You will be studying twelve modules over two years.
There will be a mixture of work-based learning and university taught modules covering a wide range of subjects of the civil engineering discipline such as; mathematics, structures and design.
You will also study the properties of soils, transportation and sustainability within a civil engineering context.
Finally, you will explore the technology of civil engineering nationally and internationally and you will plan and manage group and individual projects.
