Curriculum
This course both reflects and responds to the many changes that are taking place in the world of work and the career professions. It is also designed to track developments within academic research and offers career coaching training that meets the needs of the current workplace.
The career theories the course covers will answer questions such as what factors make people happy at work, how people make career decisions and what models of career development and career design are most suitable for the realities of the modern workplace.
You will identify the factors that make individuals successful at work – in terms of both extrinsic success (salary and promotion) and intrinsic success (job satisfaction).
You will develop the know-how to offer your clients the best possible start in their careers.
You will also look at the current and upcoming practice for selection methods, such as interviews and CVs, and how to use this research to help your clients.
