Curriculum

Electrical and electronics engineers develop and maintain the power systems, control plants and communications systems that ensure all types of industries can operate and stay afloat.

On this course you’ll gain a thorough and broad appreciation of the principles underpinning this vital profession, and develop the practical skills needed to apply your knowledge in the workplace.

You’ll learn about control theories, electrical and communication systems, computing techniques, analogue and digital circuit design, microprocessor systems, software engineering, embedded systems, digital signal processors and radio frequency design.

You’ll learn about the economic, social and environmental context in which engineers operate and you’ll hone your skills using industry-standard hardware and software.

The key point about the MEng course, however, is that everything you study will be dealt with at a deeper and more theoretical level, giving you a more complete understanding of your subject which will be invaluable in your future career.
