Entry Requirements
- Degree: Minimum 2:2 Honours in Law, Social Sciences or Humanities or relevant degree.
Note: We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths.
English Language Requirements:
- Overall IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).
Curriculum
This course will develop your critical understanding of the world economy in a legal context. You will learn about the nexus of institutions, organisations, ideas and practices that comprise the global economy – and the role played by international law.
You will gain an understanding of different analytical frameworks for studying this wide-ranging subject, looking at current research, contemporary issues and the role of the World Trade Organisation.
You will then have a choice of eight optional modules, enabling you to focus on an area of particular interest to you. These include Business and Human Rights, International Corporate responsibility and the Law of Transnational Corporations.
Throughout the course you will develop the research skills expected of a postgraduate student and put these to use in your own studies, including your dissertation. For this compulsory element of the course, you will be able to undertake research on a topic of your choosing.
