Entry Requirements
Degree or equivalent:
- A good honours degree (300 HE credit points of which 60 must be at level 6) from a United Kingdom higher education institution, or equivalent qualification.
GCSE:
- Minimum grade C in English language, mathematics and a science. If you do not meet the GCSE requirements, we can offer an equivalence test; contact us for details.
Experience:
- Current experience working with young children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Other:
Before starting the course, you will need:
- a signed employer partnership agreement
- to have passed the professional skills tests
- to take part in a rigorous selection process designed to assess your suitability to teach
- an advanced DBS check certificate.
Curriculum
- placement experience with the 0–5 age group including 14 days in a school at Key Stage 1 and 16 days with an alternative age range
- development and learning in the 0–5 age group

- leadership skills
- working with sector professionals including speech and language therapists.
