Curriculum
The learning agreement is defined by a number of goals which are developed into learning objectives and activities.
Assessment procedures and criteria are established. A proportion of the goals may, with agreement, be achieved by successful completion of relevant modules taken from existing masters degrees within the university.
The programme is available for all potential masters-level work across a wide range of subjects. Students are examined at the end of their agreed learning programme by written dissertation and through an oral examination.
If a number of people from one company or a group of companies all wish to undertake the course, studying similar topics, the course can be run as a group activity. You will each have individual learning agreements, but there will be a university group facilitator who will meet with you all regularly and run action learning sets.
This way of taking the MA/MSc By Learning Objectives is a very cost-effective way of improving the skills of key members of a workforce, while delivering continuing professional development and giving employees the opportunity to achieve a valuable qualification.
