About
The Physiotherapy program at UOW Malaysia’s Glenmarie, Selangor campus offers comprehensive learning with a strong focus on practical experience and clinical placements at accredited hospitals. Students will complete clinical placements that exceed the 1000-hour requirement set by the World Confederation of Physiotherapy. The program ensures students learn to treat patients holistically while minimizing risks, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to legal and ethical standards.
Graduates of the Diploma in Physiotherapy will be able to:
- Deliver patient-centered healthcare.
- Assess patients critically to develop effective treatment plans and carry out appropriate therapy, including follow-up evaluations.
- Collaborate with patients, caregivers, peers, and healthcare teams in planning, delegating, implementing, and evaluating care.
- Maximize patient outcomes through effective communication.
- Take responsibility for their professional development and engage in continuous education.

Entry Requirements
Any one of the following:

SPM / GCE O-Levels: Minimum 5 Credits, including Mathematics / Additional Mathematics. Either One (1) Science subject (Biology / Chemistry / Physics / General Science / Applied Science) and credit in Three (3) other subjects and Pass in English & Bahasa Malaysia

English Requirements:
- Local Students: Pass in English at SPM level or equivalent
- International Students:
- IELTS: Band 5.0
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 40 (IBT) or 7.5 (Essentials-Online)
- Cambridge English CAE & CPE (from 2015): Minimum 154
