About
Agricultural Science is an interdisciplinary field covering agronomy, aquaculture, and animal science as key food sources. This programme equips students with knowledge in plant and animal production, agribusiness, land and water management, precision agriculture, and sustainable food systems. Students gain hands-on experience through the UTAR Agriculture Park, where they engage in fieldwork and practical experiments. The curriculum includes industry visits to oil palm plantations, fruit and vegetable farms, hatcheries, and poultry farms, enhancing real-world exposure. Additionally, students can participate in international exchange and internships at renowned universities like National Pingtung University of Science and Technology and National Cheng Kung University (NCKU).

- STPM / A-Level: Grade C / D in 2 subjects + Credit in Mathematics, 1 Science & 1 other subject (SPM/equivalent).
- STAM: Jayyid + Credit in Mathematics, 1 Science & 1 other subject (SPM/equivalent)
- UEC: Grade B in 5 subjects + Credit in Mathematics, 1 Science & 1 other subject (SPM/equivalent)
- SAM / CPU: ATAR 70 / 70% average in 6 subjects + Credit in Mathematics, 1 Science & 1 other subject (SPM/equivalent)
- IB Diploma: 24 points + Credit in Mathematics, 1 Science & 1 other subject (SPM/equivalent)
- Foundation (UTAR / Others): CGPA 2.00 + Credit in Mathematics, 1 Science & 1 other subject (SPM/equivalent)
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF): CGPA 2.00
- Other Equivalent Qualifications: Recognised by the Malaysian Government
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:
- Malaysian (STPM/UEC/other non-English qualifications): Credit in SPM English / O-Level Grade C / UEC Grade B / MUET Band 3 / IELTS 5.0 / TOEFL 40(iBT) / 7.5 (Essentials) / PTE 47 / Cambridge English 154 / 100 (OET) / ELS CIEP Level 107.
- If not meeting the above: Must take and pass English Enhancement Programme (Levels 7 & 8) before joining the degree programme.
- International Applicants: IELTS 5.0 / MUET Band 3 / TOEFL 40(iBT) / 7.5 (Essentials) / PTE 47 / Cambridge English 154 / 100 (OET) / ELS CIEP Level 107.
- Exemptions: Not applicable for A-Level, SAM, CPU, or qualifications fully in English, but must have a pass in English at SPM level/equivalent.
