About
The Diploma in Accounting at SEGi University covers essential accountancy principles, from foundational bookkeeping skills to advanced financial reporting. Students will gain expertise in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, trial balances, cash flow statements, bank reconciliations, and adjustments, including depreciation.
This programme provides a comprehensive understanding of both international and Malaysian accounting standards, particularly in areas such as social responsibility reporting and financial report preparation.
Industry Integration: Auto Count
As part of the curriculum, students will be introduced to Auto Count, a prominent Malaysian accounting and business software developer established in 1996. Auto Count Sdn Bhd serves over 100,000 businesses across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia, and South Africa. The company’s flagship product, AutoCount Business Suite, includes solutions for accounting, stock control, payroll, point-of-sale systems, and mobile applications.
The diploma programme also offers insights into management accounting, which is crucial for effective business decision-making. Graduates will be well-equipped with industry-relevant skills, making them highly employable and sought after by corporations across various sectors.
