About Penang International Dental College

Penang International Dental College (PIDC) is the First Dental College in India to offer a Twinning Programme of Bachelor's Degree in Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) by the Vinayaka Missions University at Salem. This endeavor was ventured by the Visionary and Philanthropist, Honourable Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram, Chancellor of Vinayaka Missions University and executed by the Pro-Chancellor of Vinayaka Missions University, Dato' Dr. S. Sharavanan, who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Penang International Dental College. The First Batch of Students was admitted in April 2006. 

Under the twinning programme offered at Penang International Dental College, the first two years of Preclinical Studies (Basic Sciences) is carried out at Penang International Dental College campus at Salem, after which they move onto the next three years of Clinical Programme at Penang International Dental College campus at Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia.

 Penang International Dental College (PIDC), has been fully accreditated by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency in 2010.

Fully furnished, air-conditioned, twin sharing rooms are available in the college campus for students, a cafeteria catering a variety of Malaysian and Indian dishes and a pharmacy and stores.

There is a well equipped 400 bedded hi-tech hospital in the same campus, which provides healthcare at optimal level. The College & Hostel Campus are Wi-fi enabled.
