This honours degree is your opportunity to follow your passion if your scientific degree inspired you to learn more about a particular subject. Along with gaining discipline-specific knowledge in your chosen field of speciality, the extra year includes a research thesis and other modules that will help you hone your research and analytical abilities. You will produce a thesis, present your research orally, and take part in seminars—all of which can serve as stepping stones to more advanced scientific degrees like a Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Entry Requirements
Admission Requirements for Science Honours:
- Completion of the Bachelor of Science at Monash University or an equivalent degree.
- Obtained a distinction grade average (70 per cent) or above in 24 points of studies in relevant units at level three.
- Met the normal Monash University English language requirements for undergraduate students.
- The level three units upon which admission to the Honours program is based must have been completed no more than five years prior to commencement of the course.
