Entry Requirements
In order to be admitted to Monash University, an applicant must meet specific age, academic, and English language standards.
You need to have finished at least one of the following in order to apply for the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science (Honours) program:
a bachelor's degree from Australia (or its equivalent) in pharmacy, pharmaceutical science, medicinal chemistry, formulation science, biomedical science, or a related field with an average overall distinction grade of 70% or higher in the course's final year, or the Graduate Research Committee of the faculty has approved equivalent training and experience.
Curriculum
This course comprises 48 credit points across a combination of coursework (12 credit points) and research (36 credit points).
The coursework component consists of the modules you select based on your research interest, which will help you develop advanced theoretical and/or technical knowledge of the area of research focus within pharmaceutical science. Studies can be undertaken within the general research themes of:
- drug discovery biology
- formulation science
- medicinal chemistry
- medicine use and safety.
In the research component, you will develop research methodologies appropriate to your focus and plan, and execute a research project under the guidance of at least one academic supervisor.
