About

The Master of Accounting and Finance program at Lincoln University College is meticulously designed to equip candidates with advanced knowledge and skills in accounting and finance, empowering them for long-term success in the corporate world and preparing them for thriving global careers. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum that delves into the fundamental concepts and principles of accounting, finance, and financial markets. This program is available both full-time (16 months-4 years) and part-time (2-4 years).

Through a combination of theoretical insights and practical applications, students will develop a deep understanding of financial reporting, analysis, management accounting, investment management, and risk management. The curriculum is structured to provide students with the necessary expertise to pursue various career paths in finance and advisory services, including roles as auditors, financial controllers, financial analysts, and consultants. As part of the degree requirements, candidates are expected to publish a minimum of two research articles in Scopus indexed journals with Lincoln University College affiliation, thereby enhancing their research capabilities and academic credentials.

Entry Requirements

Any one of these:

  • Bachelor’s degree [Level 6, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)] in Accounting and Finance or related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or its equivalent qualifications as accepted by Lincoln University College Senate; or
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Accounting and Finance or related field not meeting CGPA of 2.75 but above CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to the Lincoln University College rigorous internal assessment; or
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or related field below a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field; or
  • Relevant professional Accounting and Finance qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) as accepted by the Lincoln University College Senate; or
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as accepted by the Lincoln University College Senate

English Proficiency Requirements (International Students):

  •  Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score 550 or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score 5.5 or other equivalent qualification

If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the program.
