Entry Requirements
FOR MALAYSIAN STUDENT
Passed in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 credits including following subjects:
- Bahasa Melayu
- Sciences subjects (Biology or Chemistry, or Physics with pass in biology or General sciences)
- Mathematics (Mathematics OR Additional Mathematics)
- TWO credits from any other subject (preference given to students from para 2 and 3)
Pass in English language
Malaysian citizen is required to pass in Bahasa Malaysia at SPM level for the purpose of registration with MAB.
FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
GCE O Level or equivalent with a minimum of 5 credits in the following subjects:
- TWO from Science or Mathematics subject (Biology/Chemistry/Physics/ General Science/Applied Sciences)
- THREE from any other subjects
- Pass in English
Candidate with other relevant qualifications is subject to approval by the Medical Assistant Board (MAB).
International students must have proof of good proficiency in verbal and written English. For example, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 4.0 or its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
