Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons)

Computer Science explores programming, algorithms, hardware, and software—key components of today’s technology-driven world. The Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) programme provides students with critical problem-solving skills, system development expertise, and hands-on experience. With a strong emphasis on industry-relevant training and small class sizes, graduates are well-equipped for careers in IT, software development, cybersecurity, and network management.
 

Any one of these:

• STPM (Arts Stream): Mininimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two subjects and a Credit in Additional Math OR Math + one Science/Tech/Engineering subject (SPM/equivalent).
• STPM (Science Stream): Min. Grade C (GP 2.00) in Mathematics/Additional Mathematics and one Science/ICT subject.
• STAM: Minimum Grade Jayyid in any two subjects a Credit in Additional Math OR Math + one Science/Tech/Engineering subject (SPM/equivalent).
• Matriculation/Foundation: Min. CGPA 2.00 and a Credit in Additional Math OR Math + one Science/Tech/Engineering subject (SPM/equivalent).
• Any Diploma in Science and Technology (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and a Credit in Additional Math OR Math + one Science/Tech/Engineering subject (SPM/equivalent). Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment.
• Diploma in Computing fields (Level 4, MQF): CGPA Minimum 2.50 (some require Minimum 2.75 or additional assesment). Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 but more than 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough internal evaluation process.
• Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) in Computing fields: Minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval.
• Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval.
• Other Equivalent Qualifications: Must include Math equivalent to Add. Math (or take reinforcement Math in the first semester).

Note: Students must pass reinforcement Mathematics before core courses unless exempted.
