Entry Requirements
- Degree: Minimum 2.2 Honours in Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineering, Maths or Physics related subject.
Note: We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths.
English Language Requirements:
- Overall IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).
Curriculum
We’ve designed this MSc to give you an in-depth understanding of all the main aspects of software technology, putting you at the forefront of our interconnected world.
Drawing upon their rich experience, our academic team will cover all the software engineering essentials from designing systems and testing them, with a scope of different technologies, such as mobile services and cloud computing..
You will work on real projects that will develop your research knowledge and expertise and then apply this knowledge in a practical work environment.
The course focuses initially on a core Advanced Software Engineering module and then we are one of the few universities to offer you a choice of modules including Security Management, Computer Security and Quantitative Data Analysis.
Computer Security explores advanced topics in secure software engineering. In Security Management, you learn how to manage security assets and technologies in compliance with standards and regulations.
In Quantitative Data Analysis, you learn the important mathematical skills for Big Data analysis.
As a software engineer with expertise in these fields, you are likely to be highly sought after by a range of different employers.
We will also give you a thorough grounding in Service Oriented Computing and Project Management..
