Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) Communications and Networking

About

Communications and networking technologies have revolutionized the way people live and work, creating an increasingly digitized and connected world. The rapid advancement of digital transformation has significantly expanded the size and complexity of networks, making them more challenging to manage and more vulnerable to cybersecurity threats. As a result, skilled professionals in communications and networking play a crucial role in maintaining secure and efficient network infrastructures. The Communications and Networking programme is designed to equip students with expertise in designing, developing, and implementing communications and networking systems. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, providing exposure to current industry standards and best practices. Students will also explore emerging technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, 4G/5G Wireless Technology, and Cloud Computing.

Additionally, the programme offers opportunities to obtain professional certifications such as the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA), enhancing graduates’ career prospects in the rapidly evolving field of communications and networking.
