Entry Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or an IB diploma
- One of the following English language requirements:
- TOEFL with a minimum score of 80 for the Internet-based test, or minimum score of 550 for the paper-based test, or minimum score of 213 for the computer-based test.
- IELTS with an overall Band Score of 6 or above
- Grade 4 or above in English for applicants with IB qualifications
- Grade C in GCSE/IGCSE/GCEOL English
- Additional documents depending on the programme (reference letter, portfolio or CV)
Curriculum
- The foundation subjects during Year One are different from those of other engineering programmes in the Faculty of Engineering because Physics I, Physics II and Basic Mathematics II - Calculus and Linear Algebra are not required in this programme. Foundation subjects such as Fundamental of Enterprise Systems and Introduction to Logistics Engineering are taught during Year One.
- In Year Two, students study Management & Organisation, Engineering Economics, Introduction to Marketing, Introduction to Shipping & Transport Logistics Operations, Accounting for Decision Making and Human Resources Management.
- In Year Three, students study logistics engineering and management in greater depth. Logistics engineering includes Industrial Engineering Techniques & Methods, Planning for Production & Services Systems, Packaging & Storage Technology, Logistics Facility Design, and Mobile Technologies for Logistics Systems. Logistics management includes Management Science, and Legal Aspects of E-Business in Logistics.
- In the Final Year, students undertake an Individual Project, and also study the subjects Production Logistics, Simulation of Logistics Systems, Logistics Information Management, Supply Chain Management, Society & the Engineer, Green Legislation & Supply Chain Logistics, and Project Management.
- Students can take free Elective Subjects to match their own interests and career aspirations.
