Master of Education

The Master of Education at Sunway University is a flexible, coursework-based programme designed for education professionals. It replaces exams with project-based assessments and offers both full-time and part-time study options. With six learning blocks per year, students engage in coursework and research tailored to their schedules. Specialisations in Instructional Technology, Educational Management, and Early Childhood Education equip educators with advanced skills to address modern challenges. A key highlight is the AI in Education course, reflecting the university’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into teaching.

Blending theory with practical application, the programme prepares students to tackle evolving educational challenges. Core and applied modules foster research, innovation, and leadership skills, ensuring graduates are equipped for diverse educational settings. Research projects enhance critical thinking and real-world problem-solving. With a future-focused curriculum and personalised specialisations, the programme empowers educators to refine their teaching, transition into leadership roles, and drive meaningful change in education.

Academic Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Academic Senate.
• A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) or its equivalent, not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in a relevant field. 

Other Qualifications

• An APEL.A Certificate (APEL T-7) (Recognition of Prior Learning).
• Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis.
   

Specific Requirements

• Students with a non-related bachelor's degree (minimum CGPA of 2.00) or without the relevant work experience have the opportunity to enroll in the programme upon the completion of a prerequisite subject.

English Language Requirements

• English Competency Requirement for International Students: For postgraduate studies, international students are required to achieve a minimum score of 6.0 for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) OR its equivalent.
