Bachelor of Business Information Systems

The Bachelor of Business Information Systems program at Lincoln University College integrates essential topics to prepare students for careers in the field of business information systems. This IT-focused undergraduate program is tailored to address the evolving needs of businesses and industries, equipping students with the necessary skills to meet these demands effectively. This program is available both full-time (3 years ) and part-time (6 years).

By combining core concepts from both traditional business administration and technology-related degrees, students gain a comprehensive understanding of both domains. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in internships offered by local firms, providing valuable real-world experience and expanding their employment opportunities nationwide.

• A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects*; or
• A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least Grade Jayyid*; or
• Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA of 2.00; or
• A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00; or
• An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00; or
• A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) subjected to Lincoln University College Senate / Academic Board’s approval***; or
• A Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) subjected to Lincoln University College Senate / Academic Board’s approval***; OR (Note for (vi) & (vii): Lincoln University college will conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme); or
• Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

*Additional requirement a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or equivalent qualifications with condition as below:

• Can be waived should any other higher qualifications contain Mathematics and English subjects with an equivalent/higher achievement.
• Malaysian students using English as the medium of instruction in their previous study or with at least Band 2 in MUET or equivalent can be exempted from a pass in English requirement.
• Those without a pass in Mathematics and/or English at SPM level or equivalent can be admitted but are required to attend special enhancement course(s). These special enhancement courses should be SPM equivalent, remedial in nature. Students must pass the Mathematics and English enhancement courses as a prerequisite to related core courses taught in English.

English Profiency Requirements (International Students):

• International students must have proof of good proficiency in verbal and written English. For example, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or its equivalent.

If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the program.
