Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons)

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) program at AIMST University is a 4-year course designed to prepare students for a career focused on the care and rehabilitation of patients with a range of health issues, such as neurological, cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, and other debilitating conditions. By mastering advanced techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore muscle function, graduates are well-prepared to make a significant difference in their patients' lives.

The program covers in-depth studies of functional anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, psychology fundamentals, physiotherapy rehabilitation, clinical practice, and health science research. Students develop hands-on skills to manage muscles and nerves, learn specialized exercise regimens, and explore the use of electrotherapy in rehabilitation.

Any one of these:

Matriculation/Pre-University/STPM or Equivalent:

• Pass with a minimum GPA of 2.33 in TWO of the following subjects:

  • Biology

  • Physics/Mathematics

  • Chemistry.

A-Level or Equivalent:

• Pass with a minimum Grade D in TWO of the following subjects:

  • Biology

  • Physics/Mathematics

  • Chemistry.

Recognized Diploma:

• Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in a related field.

• OR a CGPA less than 2.75 with a minimum of 3 years (36 months) working experience in the related field.

Other Qualifications:

• Will be assessed and referred for approval on a case-by-case basis.

Language Requirements:

• Malaysian Students: Minimum MUET Band 3 upon entry.

• International Students: Minimum IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 550 upon entry.
