HKU SPACE Community College

HKU SPACE Community College, founded in 2000, was designed to provide meaningful sub-degree education for Secondary school graduates. The college is now regarded as Hong Kong's premier community college, offering a comprehensive range of award-bearing programmes in many subjects. Inspirational Associate Degree programmes are designed to give students a broad-based education, while professionally-oriented Higher Diploma programmes give students the specialised skills and knowledge needed to further  careers.

Even better, successful completion of any academic programme offered by the College leads to an award within the HKU system through HKU SPACE. The College now has a vibrant student population of over 7,000, with more than 30 Associate Degree and Higher Diploma programmes. Following increased enrolments from Taiwan, Macau and Mainland China, the student population at the College has also become more diverse in recent years.

The HKU SPACE Community College campus at Kowloon Bay provides a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere to learn, socialize and challenge students.

Programmes are mainly held at the Kowloon East Campus, Island East Campus, and Fortress Tower Learning Centre. Some subjects and classes are also held at HKU SPACE Learning Centres in Kowloon Bay, Mei Foo, Admiralty, Causeway Bay and Pokfulam.

The college has a 13-storey building which offers 50 classrooms of various sizes. The entire campus is also designed to be environmentally-friendly, with special features that include lush, open-air greenery on the upper levels, a spacious central atrium, plenty of natural light, sensory energy controls, and eco-friendly building materials.
